Who Is Michelle Delamor?

(MYFOX NATIONAL) - Michelle Delamor was bumped from the singing competition Thursday night. She went out with Creed's "With Arms Wide Open."

Music isn't the only passion for American Idol semi-finalist Michelle Delamor.

Hollywood Gossip , referencing a Miami Herald article, reports that Delamor wants to conquer both the music and fashion industries. The Miami native dreams of owning her own clothing line.

“My style is funky-glamorous,” said Delamor, 22, who is studying music at Miami-Dade College and is a graduated from Miami Beach Senior High in 2006.

She is currently among the Top 24 semi-finalists on Season Nine of American Idol. For her audition in Orlando, Fla., Delamor sang “Chain of Fools.”

Pop Power reports that she began singing in church when she was five years old. Prior to appearing on American Idol, she was working in retail and conducting a children's choir, according to the Web site.

Delamor also performed at South Florida Summerfest ‘08 and once opened for rapper Lil Wayne at the Atlantic Center, according to Miami New Times .

On her American Idol profile she lists as her favorite quote one by R&B singer Kevin Ross, “Don't tell me the sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon.”

She describes her music as pop and R&B with “a little urban and a very soulful vibe.” Delamor pays tribute to Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner and Mariah Carey as her musical influences.

In a bit of non entertainment-related news, Celebrity gossip site So So Juicy reports that she has been a vegetarian since she was 3 years old.
